Jean Wallin
Acrylic Painting
About the Artist
Jean Wallin grew up in rural Arkansas. Her art education included a Bachelor degree in Art Education, a Master of Science degree in Art Education and extensive workshops and art history in New Mexico.
Jean’s move to Santa Fe in 1987 was the catalyst for the merging of emotion, ideas and materials creating intriguing and unpredictable results in her paintings.
Wallin began developing a unique series of faceless females with undertones of pure abstraction. In 2004, Wallin enhanced this expression with bronze sculpture. “Sculpture gives me the opportunity to further explore my version of the human figure”.
